Bagong Alyansang Makabayan – SMR

The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) statement thru CD Danao that the bakwits are scammed is malicious, irresponsible, and insulting to the displaced Manobos who have a long history of resistance against militarization and development aggression.

 DCPOs malicious propaganda is an attempt to cover up the mishandled and illegal operation commanded by Nancy Catamco to forcibly evict the IDPs. DCPO is clearly conniving with the Eastern Mindanao Command and Catamco to evade the issues on the human rights violations committed during AFPs Peace and Development Outreach Program (PDOP) operations in which soldiers are supporting firearms to the vigilante paramilitary group ALAMARA and illegally occupy schools, houses, brgy halls, and other civilian infrastructures.

The visit of UNCHR on IDP is to record these abuses and human rights situation under the Aquino regime, where in the earth Danao get the idea that it is a scam? DCPO must be held accountable for the violent raid and harassments against Lumad evacuees and against the sanctity of UCCP Church.

DCPO must stop acting as a mouthpiece for Catamco and AFP. The UCCP and other victims of such violent raid are now preparing cases to be filed in court against the perpetrators that include police officers from DCPO. ##
